So here we are already...May 1st! Happy May Day. Starting off the Me Made May challenge, I have the Urban Top of Linda Lee's Project Sewing Workshop. I am in L-O-V-E love with this shirt. I could wear it everyday, but for the sake of keeping the challenge interesting, I will try not to repeat it too soon.
I am so fortunate to have just completed a 3 day workshop under the direction of Linda Lee at her studio in Topeka, KS. I had a blast AND made this awesome t-shirt, which was my first ever sewing on knit (into a functional garment at least)! The blue and grey stripe knit is so soft and lightweight. It was pretty fussy to sew, but I feel that the added challenge really made me feel accomplished. The t-shirt is not a plain old T either. There is a cute flounce and pocket on the front!
The Project Sewing Workshop is available from most Bernina dealers, as well as many other retailers. If you have the opportunity to attend a workshop using these patterns...do it! I intend to make this shirt again with long sleeves in a beefier red and grey stripe knit.

It looks great, Jaime! I like the detail of the flounce and the pocket.
ReplyDeletehey hey hey! That was not brought in for my perusal! I REALLY like that pattern...is it for sale individually?
