I've missed a couple days. Really one technically, I wore handmade pj's on day 10. I took pictures of some them, but now I don't really want to put the photos on the world wide web. I might try again with a hanger shot, or just a version of the shorts. It has been a hectic week. First of all, we are busy with the Machine Quilters Show going on here in town. There have been Quilt Guild meetings too! I have been a stranger to my house, husband, animals and mostly my baby Bernina. It's sad. I hold out for Monday, when I catch up with them all again.
Day 11, I wore a super easy cotton A-line skirt. It is a self drafted pattern based on direction from the book, Sew What Skirts. It is nothing fancy, but I do like to wear it.
Day 13, I wore another skirt from the same book. This one is a tad juvenile, but I like it anyway. I made it from some left over fabric I used to make my dog a new bed at Christmas and Kaffe Fassett shot cotton for the yoke and small binding around the edge. There is some great ribbon at the waistband. Unfortunately, it is covered by the shirt I am wearing. I will have to take a photo of this when I wear this again. Don't forget, I am giving away this bag at the end of May! Just leave a comment on any of the Me Made May Challenge posts.

When I first read this I thought you had named an actual baby Bernina and thought 'wow, she is a hradcore sewer!'.
ReplyDeleteThat skirt is perfect for walking your dog in. I like the print.
Jodi- that is a hilarious...if I ever have a baby, maybe I will name it Bernina. I have two friends with dogs named Bernie and Nina, both named after these lovely machines.
ReplyDeleteJaime, how would you feel about peddling your handbags on my website? Let's talk.
ReplyDeleteThese are super cute, and, you know, as your mom, I like to see my little girl in skirts! I think it is really funny that Jodi said what she did, cuz I was thinking the same thing, what a cute name for a baby....Bernina. :)
