For the record, I did manage to wear a lot of me made during May. I will admit that I did not do as much making as I would have liked to. For the last piece, I finished the Built By Wendy dress. I liked the shirt I made from this pattern, but doubt that I will wear the dress as much. The fabric is vintage "Made in Belgium" that I picked up at an estate sale last year. I also had some green shot cotton that matched nicely. I just finished the belt today so I would have something new to share on the last day.
May 19: Colette Sencha
I did not blog about the Sencha blouse that I made. The fabric is Anna Maria Horner cotton voile. I just love the lightness of this fabric. It is perfect for a blouse. This is a simple pattern and would be perfect for a beginner. I would suggest adding some interfacing to the button panel. Mine is slightly floppy. I also used small buttons, which could be contributing to the issue. For me, it is a little short, but I am tall"ish". I plan to make this one again, another variation, and will likely make it longer. One the whole, another great pattern from Colette Patterns.
Me Made May was a blast! Thank you to Zoe for getting this together. I look forward to building my wardrobe for next year. Don't forget: ALL comments from this month will be entered in the bag giveaway. I will announce the winner on Friday. Did you participate in the challenge? What did you think?

ReplyDeleteYour Built by Wendy dress looks lovely and much more elegant than the one I made! Very pretty fabric for the Sencha blouse, one day I am going to get around to trying a Colette pattern. I enjoyed MMM a lot and feel pleased I took part.
