Pickles, Bread and a Few Things Finished

for the back
The KC Modern Quilt Guild is making quilts for a charity project.  I decided that I would make a quilt.  I had plenty of left over purple linen and so I choose the purple, brown and white combo from the pre-determined color palettes.  I choose to use some IKEA fabric for the back.  I finished quilting this weekend and will have the binding on soon (sewing circle is Wednesday), so stay tuned for the finish product photo.

For someone who likes horses
I also finished a gift for my mother's birthday, which was in March.  Pretty late, but it's my mom, she knows how I can procrastinate.  I hope it was worth the wait.

Honey Wheat
Honey wheat bread is good.  It has been a while since I made bread, but since I bought the lifetime supply of yeast at Costco, I figured I better get back at it.  It is so cheap and so delicious, I can hardly bring myself to buy grocery store bread anymore.

pickles
And then there is the pickle making...in full force around here.  These are so easy and everyone loves them.  I aim to please.
